As our activities are a long way away at the other end of the world, and we want to avoid overheads you can contact Ifees office in the UK. IFEES’ main office is in Burton on Trent. They can put you in the right path or inform. By e-mail is the best way to contact us, especially when we are upriver. We are an independent organization of unpaid volunteers affiliated to IFEES, The Islamic Foundation for the Ecology and Environmental sciences.

Workers and helpers of Upriver Projects are volunteers. So we have minimal overheads. All donated money goes to the village where the work needs to be done. At present we are working on providing electricity for the village from the nearby river. We need a suitable micro-hydro turbine and generator. A water tower is also being constructed to store water and to give the water supply some head to distribute it around the village to several points such as the girls’ school and the boys' school for the communal bath houses. Also we are planting 500 hectares of trees to help repair the local forests decimated during the war.
